Dave Thurber was a very bright scientific type that was a good friend of both me and Dave Williams. So sorry that he died as he did but with hope, he is in a better place.
Dave had a great sense of humor.......Our paths crossed many times during those years. Crazy but I remember we both had a pocketfull of 3 cent ball-point pens from Woolworth's in 7th grade English class...remember the double periods? They always leaked.....we had to have two at all times.....no excuse for running out of ink ! Mrs Finley (I think) was a great teacher....I appreciated much her mostly later when I could write so well and knew correct grammer ! We had to turn in one book report a week...that really got me interested in reading, which I still do voraciously. Anyone else remember Mrs Finley ?
