His face is familiar! I wish I could remember more about him! I need to confirm that he died in Vietnam. Maybe I could find out more about his family. People who gave their life in the military should be remembered.
We had such a nice life in Rocky River! I didn't appreciate what I had until much later when I traveled to distant parts of the world. Legless people in Nepal begging for food. People with tuberculosis coughing up their lungs in Tibet. Etc Etc
Jim, Kenny did not die in Vietnam. He had moved out to Arizona like several of us did and was killed in an accidental shooting while camping with his wife. Lee Perry and I were pall bearers at his funeral. Kenny was a sweet guy and great fun to be around. His loss was very hard to accept and I still miss him whenever I see this picture.
I am happy there are people on this forum who know things that have been a mystery for so long. I lived on Elmwood in Rocky River. I would often see Kenny and Dinah Hebert walking to her home on the street next to me. They were such a cute couple. Because of our last names, I always had a locker next to Gary Stauffer. When Gary was injured and on crutches, Kenny and I would split carrying Gary's books to home room (Mr. Taylor).
We seem to be slowly finding out about classmates who are no longer with us.
